We’re partnering with a leading Canberra based brokerage to appoint a Account Manager or highly experienced Account Executive to manage a portfolio of commercial clients with the support from a dedicated Assistant Broker.

  • Competitive salary up to $150k + super

  • Full-time hours: Mon to Fri, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with additional flexibility where required
  • Efficiently manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring their insurance needs are comprehensively met.
  • Collect and evaluate underwriting information to understand clients' risk profiles and foresee their insurance needs.
  • Take the lead in mentoring an account executive who will assist you in managing the business portfolio.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and underwriters to ensure mutual satisfaction and business growth.
  • Organise and lead renewal and new business meetings, addressing specific insurance requirements for each client.
  • Provide Risk Management advice and comprehensive insurance knowledge
  • Deliver outstanding and efficient service to all clients
  • Support and drive new business opportunities, develop client networks
  • Stay informed on industry/market trends
  • Maintaining strong relationship with insurers, clients and colleagues

  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing client portfolios.
  • Have obtained the tier 1 insurance qualification.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of commercial insurance lines.
  • A true team player who supports peers and enjoys helping others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong commitment to client service excellence
